The academic year is divided into a winter (fall) and a summer semester. The important dates for the academic year 2012/13 are as follows:

Please note that there could be exams after the official end of the semester!

A Survey of Austrian Culture (Course no. 000.007) is offered to foreign students to get to know more abot Austrian Culture and History.

Please note hat the lectures are held in German but English summaries at the end of each lecture are possible.

You can find a list of all fields of study offered at our university here. You will find a list of all courses offered for a specific field by clicking on "LV Liste". Please note that these courses are held in German.

You can sign up for courses via your student account. You will get acces to your student account and be able to sign up for courses after you have completed the registration locally at our registrar's office.

After logging in to your students account you will find the link "LV Anmeldung" in the left column of your students portal. After clicking on your field of study a list of all courses associated wit your institute will appear in the middle screen. You can sign up for a course by clicking on the green crest next to the title.

You can browse through courses of other institutes by clicking through the links in the left column of the page.

You will find the course A Survey of Austrian Culture by selecting "Fakultät für Kulturwissenschaften" below the heading "Lehrveranstaltungsangebot" and then "Anglistik und Amerikanistik".
