Continuing Education

Continuing Education embraces the entire range of provisions for promoting and supporting life-long learning. Its work is practically orientated, based on up to date research, and is tailored to meet the needs of regional as well as national and international target groups.

 

At the heart of Continuing Education are a wide range of university courses on the topics of Social Processes and Organisation; Education and Learning; Economy and Management; Peace and Political Education, as well as Psychotherapy and Counselling. In addition, courses and workshops are offered with a variety of time frames and content.

 

Dividing Initial Education/Training, Higher Education and Continuing Education into strictly discrete categories is neither possible nor meaningful. Quite the opposite is true, and the Alpen-Adria University strives to dovetail Higher and Continuing Education and Training in a way that meets the needs of a mixed student body, a large percentage of whom are already in employment. The Alpen-Adria-Universität is, in every respect, a university for adults in which the students are active partners in the shared learning process.
