Focus of research activities

The focus of our research activities in on innovation management and on the management of growth oriented new ventures and SME. The research strategy of the department is based on a balance between these two research fields. In particular, we do research on:

 

Innovation:

• Customer integration in the new product development process
• Idea generation and utilization
• Diffusion and technology transfer
• Efficiency of technology transfer modes
• Organization and innovation

Entrepreneurship:

• Entrepreneurship in countries of transition
• Factors influencing new venture performance
• Incubators
• New ventures founded by teams
• Personal attributes of Entrepreneurs

Based on solid theoretical foundation, we focus on quantitative methods. As regards content, aspects of gender and of sustainability are consistently recognized. The Alps-Adriatic Region and the transition countries in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe are the focus of our work on international entrepreneurship.
