Chitra Hapsari Ayuningtyas received a bachelor degree in Informatics from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia in 2006. She was granted a scholarship in 2007 for joining an Erasmus Mundus Master Course, the European Master of Informatics (EuMI), where she earned a Laurea Specialistica in Informatica degree from University of Trento, Italy and a Master of Science in Software System Engineering degree from RWTH Aachen, Germany. She worked as a research assistant in several health informatics projects in the Biomedical Engineering Research Group, Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia from 2009 to 2011. In November 2011, she joined the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate Program in Interactive and Cognitive Environments (ICE PhD) with University of Klagenfurt as her main university. She is currently working on activity recognition problem for multi-user smart environments as her doctoral thesis.
