The photo shows a flower constructed from a multitude of small photos of other flowers. While the approach is simple, the result reflects many of the aspects of our work: the images are selected based on metadata. All of the images were annotated with the word "flower" and found using an image search engine. In contrast, the arrangement is merely based o color and color distribution within the images. Therefore the image is a meaningful combination on manual (semantic) and automatic (content based) multimedia processing techniques, demonstrating that automatic analysis and manual annotation are not diverse concepts but rather are supplementary to each other.
