- research, design, and testing of new media and software including e-learning; constructing learning environments using EXCEL and its connection to R;
- investigation of changes by and potential of consistent use of software in a university environment;
- design of innovative curricula for statistics explicitly using software and applications of statistics – also for non-mathematical study programs;
- empirical and theoretical research on fundamental ideas of statistics, describing intuitive understanding and developing suitable representations of concepts, which enable easier ways for comprehension.
